A Bit About Me

GE Jingyi Joyce is a media artist, art researcher, and writer. They engage with contemporary art across Asia through creative productions and critical writings.

 

Their research interests lie in art and science, philosophy of technology, postcolonial social movements, and urban life in Asia. Their writings have appeared in ArtAsiaPacific Magazine and other international publications, grounded in the belief that art manifests its transdisciplinary, intellectual, and avant-garde value through sustained care and critical engagement.

 

They hold an MPhil in Arts, Creativity and Education from the University of Cambridge, as well as a BAS in New Media from the City University of Hong Kong. They have carried out exchanges and collaborations with the College of Design and Innovation at Tongji University, Chelsea College of Arts at University of the Arts London, and the Graduate School of Global Arts at Tokyo University of the Arts. They are a recipient of the Hong Kong Government STEM Scholarship and hold the Lighthouse Heritage Research Certificate awarded by the Hong Kong Maritime Museum. They welcome opportunities for future collaboration.
