Group Exhibition

Waves,
Wind,
Walks,
Words

29 April - 2 May

The exhibition "Waves, Wind, Walks, Words" served as a poetic bridge between the rugged coastline of Troon and the refined touch of the artist’s brush. This showcase was the culmination of an immersive en plein air creative retreat, capturing the fleeting essence of a spring journey where nature and memory intertwine.

The exhibition invited viewers to retrace the artists’ steps through a diverse array of mediums. Hand-drawn sketches and essays offered raw, spontaneous glimpses into the coastal atmosphere, while fine art photography froze the rhythmic dance of sunlight and surf into static poetry. The experience was further heightened by moving images and ambient soundscapes, effectively transporting the audience back to the fluid passage of time by the sea. Perhaps most enchanting was a series of miniature dioramas—a dreamlike world of woodland dwellings, ponds, and flora—that reimagined the natural landscape with a sense of whimsical wonder.

Though brief, this exhibition was a profound sensory voyage. It celebrated the transformation of raw natural inspiration into artistic dialogue, leaving a lasting impression of the "breaking and rebuilding" of our relationship with the wild. As we reflect on this spring journey, we carry with us the echoes of the waves and the enduring spirit of the walk.
